2016 Ladies Night
Oh, what a night! Not late December back in’63, but late June in 2016.
The St John’s Lodge Ladies Evening was held at the Carlton Hotel, Torquay on Saturday the 25th June 2016. Hosted by the Worshipful Master, Worshipful Brother John Thompson and his wife, Gayle.
After greeting everyone they took their places to tremendous applause so that the festivities of the evening could begin.
Once again, after many years, we were back in the Carlton Hotel. We all enjoyed a four course dinner which was served with professionalism by the hotel staff. Grateful thanks to Ben, the duty manager on the night. I didn’t make the evening easy for him, but he responded professionally with a smile on his face.
Using information from our historian, the lodge's Assistant Director of Ceremonies contact the Herald Express to ask if they would run an article on this historic event. It was noted that there was going to be a public coffee morning on Saturday 6th March 2010 for members of the public to view the lodge and find out more about freemasonry in general. Sold Out at 110 guests! Ladies' Night is an event to be enjoyed by all, a time for fun and friendship in a nice venue and Saturday promises to be that and more!
This year's Ladies Evening took place on Saturday 11th October 2008 at The Grand Hotel, Torquay. The Worshipful Master and his wife hosted a very enjoyable event.
